{"id":17098,"date":"2023-09-13T18:08:21","date_gmt":"2023-09-13T12:38:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nextias.com\/current_affairs\/?p=17098"},"modified":"2023-09-13T18:08:24","modified_gmt":"2023-09-13T12:38:24","slug":"igot-karmayogi-platform-launches-aspirational-blocks-programme-module","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nextias.com\/ca\/current-affairs\/13-09-2023\/igot-karmayogi-platform-launches-aspirational-blocks-programme-module","title":{"rendered":"IGOT Karmayogi Platform Launches Aspirational Blocks Programme Module"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Syllabus: GS2\/ Governance, Government Policies &amp; Intervention<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">In News<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>iGOT Karmayogi Bharat <\/strong>in partnership with <strong>NITI Aayog<\/strong>, has launched a new learning module dedicated to the <strong>Aspirational Blocks Programme (ABP).<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>iGOT Karmayogi Bharat <\/strong>&nbsp;is a comprehensive online platform to guide individual civil service officials in their capacity building journey.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">About<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The curated module, now accessible on the i<strong>GOT Karmayogi platform<\/strong>, comprises ten comprehensive courses tailored to meet the specific needs of Block officials.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>These courses cover a wide range of subjects, including time management, communication for citizen-centricity, leadership, sustainable development goals, problem-solving, self-leadership, stress management, yoga at the workplace, and team building.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Significance<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>It will enhance the functional, domain, and behavioral competencies of 5000 Block-level officials.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>By equipping them with the necessary tools, this initiative intends to improve their effectiveness in fulfilling their duties and responsibilities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Aspirational Blocks Programme<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>NITI Aayog<\/strong> has launched the <strong>Aspirational Blocks Programme<\/strong>, building on the success of the <strong>Aspirational Districts Programme<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Programme is aimed at improving the performance of areas that are lagging on various development parameters. It was <strong>announced in the Union Budget 2022-23.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Aspirational District Programme<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Launched in January 2018, it aims to quickly and effectively transform 112 most under-developed districts across the country.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The broad contours of the programme are Convergence (of Central &amp; State Schemes), Collaboration (of Central, State level Nodal Officers &amp; District Collectors), and Competition among districts through monthly delta ranking; all driven by a mass movement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>National Institution for Transforming India (NITI Aayog)<\/strong><br><\/span><br>&#8211; It was set up in 2015 to <strong>replace the Planning Commission.<\/strong><br>&#8211; It is an <strong>Executive Body<\/strong> (acts as a<strong> think tan<\/strong>k and <strong>advisory <\/strong>body)<br>&#8211; <strong>Objective: <\/strong>To foster the spirit of Cooperative and Competitive federalism through structured support initiatives on a continuous basis.<br>&#8211; <strong>Full-time organizational framework:<\/strong><br>1.  Prime Minister as the Chairperson<br>2. Vice-Chairperson (appointed by the Prime Minister)<br>3. <strong>Members:<\/strong><br>1. Full-time<br>2. Part-time members on a rotational basis: Maximum of 2 members from foremost universities, leading research organizations, and other innovative organizations in an ex-officio capacity.<br><br>&#8211; <strong>Ex Officio members: <\/strong>Maximum of 4 members of the Council of Ministers which is to be nominated by the Prime Minister.<br>&#8211; <strong>Chief Executive Officer: <\/strong>The CEO will be appointed by the PM for a fixed tenure. He will be in the rank of Secretary to the Government of India.<br><br>&#8211; <strong>Key Initiatives and Recent Achievements:<\/strong><br>1. Aspirational Districts Scheme.<br>2. 3 Documents: 3-year action agenda, 7-year medium-term strategy paper and 15-year vision document.<br>3. Monitoring and Analysing Food and Agricultural Policies (<strong>MAFAP<\/strong>) programme in India<br>4. Promoted <strong>Zero Budget<\/strong> Natural <strong>Farming<\/strong>.<br>5. Promoting \u2018Bhartiya Prakritik Krishi Paddhati\u2019 programme under Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana (<strong>PKVY<\/strong>).<br>6.
