  • It is a value that emerges during the <\/span><\/span><\/span>Reverse Transcription-Polymerase Chain Reaction<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span> (RT-PCR) Test.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  • It is the <\/span><\/span><\/span>number of cycles at which fluorescence of the PCR product is detectable<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span> over and above the background signal.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  • Simply, it refers to the <\/span><\/span><\/span>number of cycles after which the virus can be detected<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n

    • If a higher number of cycles is required, it implies that the virus went undetected when the number of cycles was lower.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
    • The <\/span><\/span><\/span>lower the Ct value<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span>, the <\/span><\/span><\/span>higher the viral load<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span>, because the virus has been spotted after fewer cycles ( <\/span><\/span><\/span>inversely correlated with viral load<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span>).<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
    • The Ct value tells us about the <\/span><\/span><\/span>viral load in the throat and not in the lungs.<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
    • According to the <\/span><\/span><\/span>Indian Council of Medical Research <\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span>(ICMR), a patient is considered <\/span><\/span><\/span>Covid-positive if the Ct value is below 35<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

    • The <\/span><\/span><\/span>Drug Controller General of India<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span> (DGCI) approved it as a <\/span><\/span><\/span>novel biologic therapy<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span> for r<\/span><\/span><\/span>estricted emergency use<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span> in the treatments for Covid-19.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n

    • These were fired from Tejas aircraft of <\/span><\/span><\/span>Aeronautical Development Agency<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span> (ADA) flown by <\/span><\/span><\/span>Indian Air Force <\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span>(IAF) Test pilots belonging to <\/span><\/span><\/span>National Flight Test Centre<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span> (NFTC).<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n

  • NRTP is any person who <\/span><\/span><\/span>occasionally undertakes<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span> transactions<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span> involving <\/span><\/span><\/span>supply of goods or services<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span> or both, whether as principal or agent or in any other capacity, but who has no fixed place of business or residence in India.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  • A non-resident taxable person making taxable supply in India has to <\/span><\/span><\/span>compulsorily take registration.<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  • There is <\/span><\/span><\/span>no threshold limit for registration<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span>. A non-resident taxable person cannot exercise the option to pay tax under composition levy.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  • He has to apply for registration at <\/span><\/span><\/span>least five days<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span> prior to <\/span><\/span><\/span>commencing his business<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span> in India using a\u00a0 valid passport (and need not have a PAN number in India).\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n
