  • It is an Indian programme to study the Sun and the region<\/strong> between the Sun and the Earth from space which will be launched next year.\n

    • Aditya L1 will be launched using the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV)<\/strong> XL with 7 payloads (instruments)<\/strong> on board.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      • Aditya 1<\/strong> was renamed as Aditya-L1.\n

        • The Aditya 1 was meant to observe only the solar corona<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
        • Aditya-L1 with additional experiments<\/strong> can now provide observations of Sun’s Corona<\/strong> (soft and hard X-ray,<\/strong> Emission lines<\/strong> in the visible and NIR), Chromosphere (UV) and photosphere (broadband filters).\u00a0<\/li>\n
        • In addition, particle payloads will study the particle flux<\/strong> emanating from the Sun and reaching the L1 orbit.<\/li>\n
