width:113.25pt\">\n<h3>AICTE Lilavati Awards<\/h3>\n<\/td>\n<td style=\"background-color:#efefef; width:354.75pt\">\n<ul>\n<li>These were instituted and are presented by the<strong> All India Council for Technical Education<\/strong> (AICTE).\n<ul>\n<li>AICTE was set up in<strong> November 1945<\/strong> as a <strong>national-level apex advisory body<\/strong> to conduct a survey on the facilities available for technical education and to promote development in the country in a coordinated and integrated manner.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>The awards are <strong>aimed to award the efforts taken in the field of women\u2019s development<\/strong> and <strong>create <\/strong>\u2018<strong>equality and fairness<\/strong>\u2019 for women in all spheres of their lives.<\/li>\n<li>All the stakeholders would get a<strong> unique opportunity to present a solution to the prevalent issues of gender discrimination<\/strong>, such as illiteracy, unemployment, economic and nutritional disparities, maternal mortality, human rights, etc.<\/li>\n<li>The<strong> theme for 2020 awards<\/strong> was &#8216;<strong>Women Empowerment<\/strong>\u2019.\n<ul>\n<li>Winners competed across <strong>6 sub themes<\/strong>, which include, Women&#8217;s Health, Self-Defense, Sanitation and Hygiene, Literacy, Women Entrepreneurship and Legal Awareness.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"background-color:#efefef; width:113.25pt\">\n<h3>KAZIND Exercise<\/h3>\n<\/td>\n<td style=\"background-color:#cfe2f3; width:354.75pt\">\n<ul>\n<li>It is the<strong> annual military exercise<\/strong> between <strong>India and Kazakhstan<\/strong> armies.<\/li>\n<li>It is conducted <strong>alternatively in Kazakhstan and India<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>aim <\/strong>of the exercise is<strong> joint training<\/strong> of troops in <strong>counter-insurgency<\/strong> and <strong>counter-terrorism<\/strong> operations in both<strong> jungle and mountainous terrains<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>It will<strong> enhance the level of defence cooperation<\/strong> further <strong>fostering bilateral relations<\/strong> between the two nations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"background-color:#cfe2f3; width:113.25pt\">\n<h3>Gender Advancement through Transforming Institutions (GATI)<\/h3>\n<\/td>\n<td style=\"background-color:#efefef; width:354.75pt\">\n<ul>\n<li>It is a<strong> joint programme <\/strong>of the <strong>Department of Science and Technology<\/strong> (DST), Government of India and the <strong>British Council<\/strong>.\n<ul>\n<li>The British Council is the facilitator, creating ties between Indian stakeholders and UK institutions to achieve the desired transformation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Aims<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>To establish a<strong> Gender Equality framework in order to counter the<\/strong> gender disparity in the <strong>Science, Technology, Engineering, Medicine and Mathematics <\/strong>(STEMM).<\/li>\n<li>To <strong>create a new ecosystem that builds competencies<\/strong> of Indian institutions and enables them to establish sustainable partnerships.<\/li>\n<li>To <strong>nudge higher education institutions<\/strong> (HEIs) and <strong>research organisations <\/strong>to better support diversity and inclusion for talent progression.<\/li>\n<li>To increase recruitment, retention, and women\u2019s progression throughout their professional journeys.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Institutions that sign the GATI charter will adopt gender equality principles and create <strong>Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time-bound<\/strong> (SMART) <strong>action plans<\/strong> for systemic and cultural transformation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"background-color:#efefef; width:354.75pt\">\n<ul>\n<li>Niti Aayog launched <strong>India Energy Dashboards (IED) Version 2.0.<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>The first version was launched\u00a0 1.0 in May 2017.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>It is an endeavour to establish a <strong>central energy database<\/strong> of the country.<\/li>\n<li>IED is an initial step towards building a c<strong>omprehensive, open and freely accessible energy data porta<\/strong>l for India.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Energy data published\/provided by Central Electricity Authority, Coal Controller\u2019s Organisation, and Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas is compiled in the Dashboards.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The IED provides time-series data from FY <strong>2005-06 until FY 2019-20.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>IED provides data at sub-yearly frequencies as well.<\/li>\n<li>This includes monthly data and API linked data from some portals maintained by the government agencies.\n<ul>\n<li>The monthly data is sourced from the monthly reports that are regularly published for the electricity, petroleum and natural gas sectors.
