and Teachers&#8217; Holistic Advancement through Quality Education<\/strong> <strong>(SARTHAQ)<\/strong> has been released during a high-level meeting on the implementation of the <strong>National Education Policy <\/strong>(NEP)<strong> 2020<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About SARTHAQ<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>It has been developed by the<strong> Department of School Education and Literacy<\/strong> under the <strong>Ministry of Education<\/strong> through a <strong>consultative process<\/strong> with States\/UTs and other stakeholders.\n<ul>\n<li>A teacher\u2019s fest, \u2018<strong>ShikshakParv<\/strong>\u2019 was especially<strong> organised in September 2020<\/strong> for <strong>discussing various recommendations of NEP 2020<\/strong> and its implementation strategies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>It is an<strong> indicative and suggestive implementation plan<\/strong> for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nextias.com\/Improving-higher-education\"><strong>school education<\/strong><\/a> and <strong>delineates the roadmap and way forward<\/strong> for the implementation of <strong>NEP 2020<\/strong> for the <strong>next 10 years<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>It was released as part of the celebrations leading to the <strong>Amrit Mahotsav <\/strong>on <strong>75 years of India&#8217;s independence<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>The plan keeps in mind the <strong>concurrent nature of education<\/strong> and adheres to the <strong>spirit of federalism<\/strong>.\n<ul>\n<li>States and UTs are <strong>given the flexibility to adapt this plan with local contextualisation<\/strong> and also<strong> modify as per their needs<\/strong> and requirements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Its<strong> major focus<\/strong> is to <strong>define activities in such a manner which clearly delineate goals, outcomes and timeframe <\/strong>i.e., it links recommendations of NEP with 297 Tasks along with responsible agencies, timelines and 304 outputs of these tasks.<\/li>\n<li>SARTHAQ will <strong>pave the way for children to meet the diverse national and global challenges<\/strong> of the present and the future.\n<ul>\n<li>It helps them to <strong>imbibe 21st century skills<\/strong> along with India\u2019s tradition, culture and value system as envisioned in NEP 2020.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>It would <strong>benefit all stakeholders<\/strong> including 25 crore students, 15 lakh schools, 94 lakh teachers.\n<ul>\n<li>All the <strong>stakeholders have been asked to use it as a guiding star<\/strong> to undertake transformational reforms in the school education sector.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<table border=\"1\" cellspacing=\"0\" style=\"width:624px\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"background-color:#fff2cc; width:6.5in\">\n<p><strong>National Education Policy 2020<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>It <strong>replaced the 34 years old National Policy on Educatio<\/strong>n which was framed in <strong>1986<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>It is a<strong> comprehensive framework<\/strong> from <strong>elementary education to higher education<\/strong> as well as <strong>vocational training<\/strong> in both rural and urban India.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Aims<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>To build an inclusive and equitable Education System by 2030 and to achieve 100 per cent youth and adult literacy in India.<\/li>\n<li>To increase the public investment in the education sector to reach 6% of GDP at the earliest.<\/li>\n<li>To enable an individual to study one or more specialised areas of interest at a deep level.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>It also <strong>focuses <\/strong>on developing character, scientific temper, creativity, the spirit of service and 21st century capabilities across a range of disciplines including sciences, social sciences, arts and humanities among others.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cfstatic.nextias.com\/cdn-cgi\/image\/format=auto\/file_library\/mix_content\/128881262972217400_image.png\" style=\"height:359px;
