E9 Initiative<\/h3>\n<\/td>\n

  • It is the consultation meeting<\/strong> of Education Ministers of E9 countries <\/strong>(Bangladesh, Brazil, China, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Nigeria and Pakistan).<\/li>\n
  • It is the first of a three-phased process<\/strong> to co-create an initiative on digital learning and skills, targeting marginalised children and youth, especially girls.<\/li>\n
  • Aim:<\/strong> To accelerate recovery and advance the Sustainable Development Goal 4 agenda<\/strong> by driving rapid change in education<\/strong> systems in three of the 2020 Global Education Meeting priorities<\/strong>, namely,\n

    • Support for teachers.<\/li>\n
    • Investment in skills.<\/li>\n
    • Narrowing of the digital divide.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
    • Theme:<\/strong> Scaling up digital learning to accelerate progress towards SDG4.<\/li>\n
    • Spearheaded by the United Nations<\/strong> (UN), the E9 countries will have the opportunity to benefit from this global initiative<\/strong> and accelerate progress on digital learning, according to the UNESCO<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
    • The initiative will highlight progress and share lessons learned regarding challenges on digital learning and skills<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
