width:120.0pt\">\n<h3>National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT)<\/h3>\n<\/td>\n<td style=\"background-color:#efefef; width:348.0pt\">\n<ul>\n<li>It was established under <strong>Section 410<\/strong> of the <strong>Companies Act, 2013<\/strong> and was constituted on 1st June 2016.<\/li>\n<li>It <strong>hears appeals against the orders of<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>National Company Law Tribunal<\/strong> (NCLT).<\/li>\n<li>NCLT(s) under <strong>Section 61<\/strong> of the <strong>Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code,<\/strong> <strong>2016<\/strong> (IBC).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board<\/strong> of India under <strong>Section 202<\/strong> and<strong> Section 211<\/strong> of IBC.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>It also hears and disposes of appeals against any direction issued or decision made or order passed by the<strong> Competition Commission of India<\/strong> (CCI), as per the amendment brought to <strong>Section 410<\/strong> of the <strong>Companies Act, 2013<\/strong> by <strong>Section 172<\/strong> of the<strong> Finance Act, 2017<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>NCLAT decisions <strong>can be challenged in the Supreme Court <\/strong>on a point of law.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"background-color:#efefef; width:120.0pt\">\n<h3>Pong Dam Lake Wildlife Sanctuary<\/h3>\n<\/td>\n<td style=\"background-color:#efefef; width:348.0pt\">\n<ul>\n<li>Pong Dam or reservoir was constructed in <strong>1975 <\/strong>on the river <strong>Beas <\/strong>in the <strong>wetland of Shivalik hills of Kangra<\/strong> district of<strong> Himachal Pradesh<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>It is also known as <strong>Maharana Pratap Sagar<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>It was declared a<strong> wildlife sanctuary in 1983<\/strong> and is <strong>also a Ramsar site<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>In <strong>1994<\/strong>, the Government of India declared it a \u201c<strong>Wetland of National Importance<\/strong>\u201d.<\/li>\n<li>It contains several deforested islands which <strong>attract a large number of waterbirds<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Flora<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Submerged vegetation, an extensive swamp with reed beds and grasslands and some mixed deciduous and Chir Pine forest.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Fauna<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Nilgai, Sambar, Barking Deer, Wild Boar, Clawless Otter, Leopard, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Migratory birds like Bar Headed Geese, Common Teal, Red Necked Grebe, etc. from Central Asia, Siberia, Mongolia and Tibet.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cfstatic.nextias.com\/cdn-cgi\/image\/format=auto\/file_library\/mix_content\/32754547029387736_image.png\" style=\"height:262px; width:120.0pt\">\n<h3>Red Algal Seaweed Species<\/h3>\n<\/td>\n<td style=\"background-color:#efefef; width:348.0pt\">\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Two varieties<\/strong> have been discovered along the coasts of <strong>Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu<\/strong> and in <strong>Gujarat<\/strong> and <strong>Daman Diu<\/strong>, recently.\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>fine and hairy algae<\/strong> <strong><em>Hypnea indica<\/em><\/strong> was discovered in Shivrajpur and Somnath Pathan in <strong>Gujarat<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Hypnea Bullata<\/em><\/strong> grew along the coastline of <strong>Daman and Diu<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>It is <strong>for the first time<\/strong>, that these have been <strong>discovered along Indian coasts<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>These<strong> thrived on rocks<\/strong> that submerged during high tides and remain exposed during low tides.<\/li>\n<li>Scientists applied <strong>morphology <\/strong>with the<strong> DNA barcoding technique<\/strong> in order to<strong> confirm the novelty <\/strong>of these two species.<\/li>\n<li>These can <strong>fetch good monetary value<\/strong> if commercial-scale cultivation is taken up but <strong>seaweed cultivation is yet unpopular<\/strong> in India.<\/li>\n<li>Hypnea contains <strong>Carrageenan<\/strong>, a biomolecule commonly used in the food industry that can be a <strong>potential raw material<\/strong> for those involved in <strong>jelly <\/strong>and <strong>ice cream<\/strong> production.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cfstatic.nextias.com\/cdn-cgi\/image\/format=auto\/file_library\/mix_content\/216585900184994980_image.png\" style=\"height:278px;
