width:133.5pt\">\n<h3>Uighurs<\/h3>\n<\/td>\n<td style=\"background-color:#efefef; width:334.5pt\">\n<ul>\n<li>The Uighurs are a <strong>predominantly Muslim minority Turkic ethnic group<\/strong>, whose origins can be traced to <strong>Central and East Asia<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Their native region is considered to be the <strong>Xinjiang Uighur Autonomous<\/strong> Region in the <strong>People\u2019s Republic of China. <\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The Uighurs are considered to be one of the 55 officially recognized ethnic <strong>minority communities in China.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>However, <strong>China<\/strong> recognises the community only as a<strong> regional minority<\/strong> and <strong>rejects <\/strong>that they are an i<strong>ndigenous group<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Currently, while the <strong>largest population<\/strong> of the <strong>ethnic communit<\/strong>y lives in the <strong>Xinjiang region<\/strong>, which is tightly controlled by <strong>China.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>A significant diaspora of <strong>Uighurs<\/strong> resides in the neighbouring <strong>Central Asian <\/strong>countries such as <strong>Uzbekistan<\/strong>, <strong>Kyrgyzstan <\/strong>and <strong>Kazakhstan<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"background-color:#efefef;
