Poshan 2.0<\/h3>\n<\/td>\n

  • Nodal Ministry: Ministry of Women and Child Development<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  • First announced by the Finance Minister in the Budget speech of 2021-22.<\/li>\n
  • Components<\/strong>\n
      \n
    • Supplementary Nutrition Programme<\/strong> (government aims to give hot cooked meals and take home ration at anganwadis).<\/li>\n
    • Poshan Abhiyaan<\/strong> (includes influencing behavioural changes and growth monitoring through technology).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
    • The Poshan Abhiyan was approved in 2017.<\/li>\n
    • Implementation:<\/strong> District Collectors, as the head of the National Health Mission (NHM), will be the fulcrum of the programme.<\/li>\n
    • A new software tool called the Poshan Tracker<\/strong> will replace old ICDS CAS <\/strong>(Common Application Software)\u201d to streamline the supply side of the scheme.<\/li>\n
    • AYUSH<\/strong> (Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy) would also be a key part <\/strong>of the reinvented POSHAN.<\/li>\n
    • Audit by the food regulator, FSSAI<\/strong> will make the programme more efficient.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maan Dhan Yojana<\/h3>\n<\/td>\n

  • Launched in 2019 <\/strong>in Jharkhand<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  • Motive:<\/strong> To secure the lives of farmers in the country and decrease death rates.<\/li>\n
  • Benefits:<\/strong> Minimum fixed pension of Rs. 3,000 per month is given to the small and marginal farmers (Upto 2 Ha cultivable land), on attaining the age of 60 years.\n
      \n
    • It is a voluntary & contributory pension scheme.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
    • Under this scheme, farmers can choose to contribute directly from the benefits received from PM-Kisan<\/strong>.\n
        \n
      • In this way, they will not have to spend any extra money from their pocket.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
      • Farmers between the age of 18 and 40 years can register..<\/li>\n
      • Even, farmers enrolled under other saving schemes <\/strong>like Nation Pension Scheme (NPS), Employees\u2019 Provident Fund Organisation or under PM Shram Yogi Maan Dhan Yojana & PM Laghu Vyapari Maan-dhan Yojana are eligible<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Gobi Desert<\/h3>\n<\/td>\n

  • It is a great desert<\/strong> and semidesert region of Central Asia. <\/strong><\/li>\n
  • The Gobi (from Mongolian gobi<\/em>, meaning \u201cwaterless place\u201d) stretches across huge portions<\/strong> of both Mongolia and China<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  • It lies between the Altai Mountains and Hangayn Mountains to the north<\/strong>; the western edge of the Da Hinggan Range<\/strong> to the east; the Yin, Qilian, eastern Altun<\/strong>, and Bei mountains to the south; and the eastern Tien Shan to the west<\/strong>.<\/li>\n

Bhaona<\/h3>\n<\/td>\n

  • It is a theatrical performance<\/strong>, an indigenous performing art<\/strong> form created by 16th-century Assamese polymath Srimanta Sankardeva<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  • It is prevalent in Assam <\/strong>and is always with religious messages<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  • These plays are popularly known as Ankiya Nats<\/strong> and their staging is known as Bhaona.<\/li>\n
  • It is a simple drama which shows the victory of truth at the climax<\/strong>, generally using fictitious or mythological characters.<\/li>\n
  • In a Bhaona, real men and women play the roles of different characters<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  • The dialogues are spoken in Brajawali often in lyrical form <\/strong>which was also created by Sankardeva. Nowadays, it is performed in spoken Assamese <\/strong>language in upper Assam.<\/li>\n
  • The entire drama is performed in the middle open space of Namghar<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  • Different parts of the drama are connected by lyrical songs <\/strong>performed by an anchor <\/strong>called Sutradhar\/Sutradhari<\/em><\/strong>.<\/li>\n
