  • It was conceptualized by the Ministry of Home Affairs<\/strong> in detailed consultation with all stakeholders and is being implemented as a “Mission Mode Project (MMP)”<\/strong> since 2009.<\/li>\n
  • \u00a0It aims at creating a comprehensive<\/strong> and integrated system<\/strong> for enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness<\/strong> of policing<\/strong> through adopting of principle <\/strong>of e-Governance<\/strong> and creation of nationwide networking infrastructure<\/strong> for evolution of<\/strong> IT-enabled-state-of-the-art tracking<\/strong> system around ‘Investigation of crime and detection of criminals’<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    • Tejas is a single-engined, lightweight,<\/strong> highly agile, multi-role supersonic fighter.<\/strong><\/li>\n
    • \u00a0It has quadruplex digital fly-by-wire Flight Control System (FCS)<\/strong> with associated advanced flight control laws.<\/li>\n
    • The aircraft with delta wing is designed for \u2018air combat\u2019 and \u2018offensive air support\u2019 <\/strong>with \u2018reconnaissance\u2019 and \u2018anti-ship<\/strong>\u2019 as its secondary roles.<\/li>\n
    • It is designed and developed by the Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA)<\/strong> of the Indian Department of Defence, with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL)<\/strong> as the prime industrial contractor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Light Combat Aircrafts (LCA) \u2018Tejas\u2019 Mk-1A variant:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      • LCA Tejas Mk 1A is an advanced version of LCA Mk1. <\/strong><\/li>\n
      • It is a supersonic fighter <\/strong>at all altitudes for air combat<\/strong> which can carry a payload of 3,500 kg <\/strong>and it is best suited<\/strong> for offensive air suppor<\/strong>t.<\/li>\n
      • This aircraft is equipped with critical operational capabilities of Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) Radar, Beyond Visual Range (BVR) Missile<\/strong>, Electronic Warfare (EW) Suite<\/strong> and Air to Air Refuelling (AAR)<\/strong> would be a potent platform to meet the operational requirements of Indian Air Force, IAF.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        • The exercise near the India-Pakistan border<\/strong> aims at enhancing cooperation<\/strong> and interoperability<\/strong> between the two armies<\/strong> and will focus on counter-terrorism <\/strong>operations under the United Nations<\/strong> mandate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
