width:122.25pt\">\n<h3>Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti<\/h3>\n<\/td>\n<td style=\"background-color:#9fc5e8; width:434.25pt\">\n<p><strong>About Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>He was a <strong>sufi mystic saint and philosopher<\/strong> born in Iran but came to preach in Hindustan at age of 52 after a Haj (pilgrimage) to Mecca.<\/li>\n<li>Also known as Khwaja Gareeb Nawaz, he made Ajmer his residence.<\/li>\n<li>He was one of the most popular saints of <strong>Chisti Silsila<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>He died in 1236 (Contemporary of Qutub-ud-din Aibak and Iltutmish). His resting place is the <strong>Ajmer Sharif Dargah<\/strong> in Ajmer, Rajasthan.<\/li>\n<li>2021 marks 809th <strong>Urs (Death Anniversary)<\/strong> of Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Chadar<\/strong> is offered for prayer by both Hindu and Muslims at the Dargah which represents the\u00a0<strong>Spirit of Mutual Respect and Unity in Diversity<\/strong> of India.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>About Chisti Silsila<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>It comes under <strong>Ba-shara order<\/strong> which means they were bound by Islamic laws,\u00a0<strong>unlike Be-Shara<\/strong>.\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Be-shara (literally means without laws)<\/strong> were the Sufi Saints who didn\u2019t follow Islamic laws and lived like wanderers.<\/li>\n<li>Due to constant wandering, <strong>Be-shara were also called Baba and Mast Kalandar<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Founded by Abu Ishaq Shami at Chisti-i-sharif in Afghanistan.<\/li>\n<li>It was established in India by Khwaja Moin-ud-din Chisti in 1192, just after the death of Prithvi Raj Chauhan.<\/li>\n<li>Other prominent Saints in this silsila were:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Khwaja Qutbuddin Bakhtiyar Kaki<\/strong> (Died in 1235 in Delhi, Contemporary of Iltutmish)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Nizamuddin Auliya<\/strong> (Also known Mehboob-e-Ilahi) (died in 1335 in Delhi.
