    • It is a <\/span><\/span><\/span>precious metals dealer<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span> with an established reputation as a trusted and dedicated resource for people wanting to <\/span><\/span><\/span>diversify<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span> their holdings with intelligent <\/span><\/span><\/span>precious metals and diamond investments.<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n

  • India will launch \u2018<\/span><\/span><\/span>UNITE AWARE\u2019<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span>, a mobile tech platform for the <\/span><\/span><\/span>United Nations Peacekeepers<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span> to improve their safety and security in the line of duty.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    About<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

    • The launch of the UNITE AWARE platform came as India assumed the Presidency of the 15-nation <\/span><\/span><\/span>UN Security Council<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span> for the month of August.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
    • India has developed the technology platform in partnership with the UN Department of Peacekeeping Operations and the Department of Operational Support.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      UNITE Aware<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

      • It is a <\/span><\/span><\/span>situational awareness software programme<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span> that utilises <\/span><\/span><\/span>modern surveillance technology<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span> for real-time threat assessments to peacekeepers.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
      • This initiative is based on the expectation that an entire peacekeeping operation can be visualized, coordinated, and monitored on a real-time basis.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
      • It can also record data on critical incidents and events and follow daily operational activities.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
      • The platform will be <\/span><\/span><\/span>deployed initially in four UN Peacekeeping Missions<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span>: MINUSMA (Mali), UNMISS (South Sudan), UNFICYP (Cyprus) and AMISOM (Somalia).<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
      • India has contributed USD 1.64 million to this project.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        • Peacekeeping forces are contributed by member states on a voluntary basis.\u00a0 The civilian staff of peace operations are international civil servants, recruited and deployed by the UN Secretariat.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
