  • The autopsy report revealed that the death was due to acute haemorrhagic disease caused by the <\/span><\/span><\/span>Elephant Endotheliotropic Herpesvirus (EEHV)<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  • About EEHV<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span>\n

    • It is a type of <\/span><\/span><\/span>herpes virus<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span> that can cause <\/span><\/span><\/span>fatal haemorrhagic disease<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span> in elephants.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
    • It is one of the most deadly viral infections in elephants worldwide but is most commonly found in <\/span><\/span><\/span>Asian elephants.<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n

          • HSV-1 is mainly transmitted by <\/span><\/span><\/span>oral-to-oral contact<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span> to cause oral herpes (which can include symptoms known as \u201ccold sores\u201d), but can also cause genital herpes.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n

  • The Ministry of Food Processing industries (MoFPI) has shared information related to the <\/span><\/span><\/span>Pradhan Mantri Kisan SAMPADA Yojana (PMKSY) <\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span>in the Parliament.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
  • So far, the Ministry has approved <\/span><\/span><\/span>41 Mega food Parks,<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span> 353 <\/span><\/span><\/span>Cold Chain projects,<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span> 63 <\/span><\/span><\/span>AgroProcessing Clusters<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span>, 292 <\/span><\/span><\/span>Food Processing Units<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span>, 63 <\/span><\/span><\/span>Creation of Backward & Forward Linkages Projects<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span> & 6 <\/span><\/span><\/span>Operation Green projects<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span> across the country under corresponding component schemes of PMKSY.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
