Registrations for the UPSC CSE Mains 2025 took place from 16 to 25 June 2025.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The UPSC Mains Exam is conducted over five days and is crucial for shortlisting candidates for the Personality Test.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>A total of nine papers take their place in the scheme of evaluation:<\/strong> the two are qualifying papers, or Indian Language and English, whereas the seven are based on merit, such as the Essay, General Studies I-IV, and two Optional papers &#8211; a total of 1750 marks. The exam is scheduled to begin on <strong>Friday, 22 August 2025, and end on Sunday, 31 August 2025<\/strong>. The papers will be taken in 2 different timings, a <strong>morning session from 9:00\u202fAM to 12:00\u202fPM and an afternoon session from 2:30\u202fPM to 5:30\u202fPM<\/strong>.
