Chandrayaan-2 was launched on July 22, 2019, with an Orbiter, Lander (Vikram), and Rover (Pragyan).

Mission Aim

Targeted the Moon’s south polar region to study its surface and atmosphere.

Scientific Objectives

Analyze lunar topography, mineralogy, surface chemical composition, and thermo-physical properties.

Technological Goal

Demonstrate soft-landing and rover movement on the Moon's surface.

Outcomes

Orbiter remains operational; lander crash was a setback, but mission valuable for future ISRO efforts.
